Cappagh Hospital Trust (CHT) is the fundraising arm of Cappagh Hospital. Cappagh Hospital has been the pioneer of Orthopaedic Surgery in Ireland, and is now the biggest dedicated Orthopaedic hospital in the country.

It is also a Centre of Excellence for Sports Injuries and Ireland’s major centre for elective orthopaedic surgery. There is an ongoing fundraising requirement to enable us carry out our vital work and particularly in the area of bone repair and bone cancer. We hope that Funky Feet Friday will become an annual fun event to help raise much-needed funds to support the Hospital. To find out more about the work of Cappagh Hospital visit http://www.cappagh.ie

All funds raised from the 2012 Funky Feet Campaign will go towards completing the funding of the new 3T MRI Machine, which allows early diagnoses of many illnesses, including Bone Tumour Cancer in children. This machine, operational since May 2011, is the first of its kind in a public hospital in Ireland and provides vital technology that not only benefits patients at Cappagh National Orthopaedic Hospital but patients from other hospitals as well.

Such a vital development comes with a substantial price tag of €2.8m, all of which is directly financed by voluntary contributions. The Trust is committed to completing the funding of this life-saving project and with your support are confident that we will achieve our goal Your support of our Funky Feet campaign can help us make a difference!
